Expanding Asian Cooperation: Mr. Roger Kam Represents the CGCC to Participate in the Hong Kong Business Delegation Visiting Kyushu, Japan
To explore business opportunities in the Greater Bay Area and various countries in Asia, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) of Hong Kong collaborated with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and the Hong Kong-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce to organize a "HK Business Delegation to Kyushu, Japan" delegation from 29th-31st August 2023. Mr. Clement Chan, President of CGCC, served as the delegation leader, and a total of 23 people participated in this tour. Mr. Roger Kam, the current Director of CGCC and Deputy Chairman of the External Affairs Committee, accompanied the delegation as a representative of our group and also serves as the Chairman of our company.
During the visit, the delegation had separate meetings with the leaders of the Kyushu Economic Federation and the Fukuoka Prefectural Government Office. They also attended a dinner hosted by the Kyushu Japan-Hong Kong Association. Additionally, in collaboration with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alliance and the Hong Kong-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, the CGCC co-organized a "Luncheon on Business Collaboration in Japan, Greater Bay Area and Vietnam" The luncheon provided an opportunity to meet with 60 representatives from the Japanese political and business sectors, and the Chief Economic and Trade Representative of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Tokyo was invited to deliver a speech. Furthermore, in partnership with Kyushu University, a seminar on "Business, Innovation, and Cultural Cooperation between Japan, the Greater Bay Area, and Vietnam" was held. More than 70 participants from the business and academic sectors, including the Chinese Consul General in Fukuoka, the Vietnamese Consul General in Fukuoka, and the Director of the Kyushu Economic and Industrial Bureau, were invited to attend.
