The Delegation from the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong Receives Audience with Beijing Municipal Party Secretary

The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) of Hong Kong recently organized a delegation to conduct a business study trip to Beijing. Mr. Roger Kam, the current Director of the CGCC and Chairman of our group, accompanied the delegation. The delegation had the honor of being received by Mr. Yin Li, Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, for discussions on deepening cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong, aiming to make greater contributions to the overall development of the country.

During the visit, the delegation also had separate meetings with leaders from the Chaoyang District and Tongzhou District. They had the opportunity to explore various development projects, including the core business district and cultural and artistic initiatives. The impressive scale, rapid development, and visionary designs of Beijing's sub-center left a profound impression on the delegation members.

Secretary Yin Li highlighted Beijing's commitment in recent years to become a global hub for technological innovation, a digital city, an international consumer center, and a high-level sub-center. Beijing has actively leveraged its advantages in high-quality development to advance the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and contribute to national strategic initiatives. Secretary Yin Li commended the long-standing efforts of the CGCC in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland. He expressed the expectation for CGCC to utilize its business network capabilities and actively lead Hong Kong's business community in seizing development opportunities in Beijing and actively participating in the sub-center construction.
